Hydrangea Puff Trill Earrings

The Hydrangea Puff Trill Earrings combine geometric shapes, now familiar to my practice, arranged in response to my developing interest in music composition as a foundation for design considerations. My independent research into basic music composition and desire to interpret an auditory medium into metalsmithing, inspires how I chose to combine these shapes. I notice the way that crescendo, harmony, dissonance and rests are all in conversation to intentionally create a tone within the music that is often universally understandable. In my research I hope to study these relationships within music to translate music composition perspectives into my work as a metalsmith.
